Hey Divas!
I hope you all are enjoying this summer of amazing, plentiful beauty launches as much as we are. As hard as I am trying, it seems I just can't stay out of the MAC store! We started marking our calendars for launch dates, and what a bummer, MAC is launching a new collection every TWO WEEKS for the rest of the summer!
I visited the store last week to see the new Colour Craft collection. This is a consumer, as opposed to artistry launch, so most of the products were nice to see but not of interest to me. The lipsticks, however, are definitely worth mentioning. Here is my two cents!
1) Colour Crafted: A very light pink, frost finish. This lipstick looked great on one of the MAC artists, when she paired it with a coordinating lip liner and gloss, a recommendation I would like to pass onto you if you are thinking about purchasing. It was too chalky and light for me but might work for you if you are a lighter skin tone looking for an abnoxious pink.
2) Madly Creative: This lipstick is beautiful! It is a pinkish mocha, also a frost finish. It applies smooth alone and does not have to be layered. This lipstick has good color payoff an is a good neutral to pair with dramatic eyes.
3) Most Popular: Most Popular is a re-launch from the Hello Kitty collection. It is a light burgundy, lustre finish. The lipstick is not too highly pigmented or smooth, so pair it with your desired gloss to get the most color payoff.
4) Ever Embellish: This lipstick is a spicy light red with gold shimmer, if that makes any sense! It is a lustre finish so its known for its glitter payoff rather than color or texture. Use a lip conditioner underneath or ontop to get a smooth, even look from this pretty color.
5) Made With Love: Made with Love is a pretty melon pink, also a lustre finish. This is pretty for summer and can be worn alone with dramatic eyes or with gloss for a more intense lip.
6) Trimming Talk: Trimming Talk, a frost finish, is a super-bright pink/fuschia. This is really bright so you have to be a fan of this look. You can easily pull it off with the right eyes, perhaps a shimmery light copper, white, or green. I suggest using a lot of black liner and intense mascara to pull off lips this bright.
